pic2Undergraduate students in the Building and Construction Technology program explore the physical and mechanical properties of building materials and wood products used in light-frame construction. Students learn business management and the market forces that drive the building materials industry. It is this combination of technical understanding with a practical business education that makes our graduates extremely desirable to potential employers.

collageThe majority of our graduates secure positions as managers, sales professionals, marketing specialists, supervisors and resource specialists in the manufacturing, wholesale, retail and application sectors of the building materials industry before they graduate.

picThe Graduate Program in Forestry and Wood Technology is a center for advanced study and research in a broad range of topics related to forest resources, including forest ecology and management, watershed and wetlands science, urban forestry and arboriculture, building materials and wood technology, human dimensions and natural resource policy, and remote sensing/GIS applications in natural resources. Students pursuing a Master of Science or PhD. with a focus on Wood Technology can investigate a wide range of topic areas including forest products marketing and economics, physical properties of wood, or engineered wood composites and design.
