Faculty Position in Green Building Construction Management Available

The Building Materials and Wood Technology Program in the Department of Natural Resources Conservation at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst is seeking applications for a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track appointment as Assistant Professor in Construction Management Green Building. A doctoral or terminal degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent is required. Professional field experience is desirable. The candidate must be high-energy, creative and demonstrate a “team-player” attitude. The candidate should have an understanding and interest in the sensitive integration of built and natural environments. While the candidate’s primary role will be teaching and research, she/he must demonstrate potential to develop a modest program of professional outreach. The candidate will be expected to establish a productive research program in collaboration with industry clients and government agencies. Teaching duties will include the development and teaching of courses in the areas of Building Construction Management, Sustainable Building Practices, and Project Planning & Administration. The Department of Natural Resources Conservation places special emphases on faculty-student interaction, cooperation among faculty, and a commitment to teach and attract a diverse student body.
